Internships, start January or July 2011, in Sydney or
Melbourne
As an intern in Cisco, you will work in an environment
where creativity is encouraged, teamwork is paramount, and results are the
measurement of success. Our
internships are of 6-months duration so you can really get a feel for life and
work within our firm. We
expect you to attain the CCNA qualification (Cisco Certified Network Associate)
whilst with us, and we will provide full training for you to succeed, as well
as a mentor for guidance throughout. And most exciting? a large majority of our
interns join Cisco on graduation!
Opportunities:
1. Customer Services Engineers (CSE), in SYDNEY You
will have the opportunity to learn, then test, exciting skills in a complex and
leading-edge lab environment. We will also provide you with training in Soft
Skills, Network Tools, IP Fundamentals, Device architectures, LAN switching,
Routing protocols, NMS, Security, Voice & Wireless.
2. Network Consulting Engineers (NCE), in SYDNEY and MELBOURNE An NCE is
Cisco's “face to the customer," working in a fast-paced, high-impact
environment. You will
create and execute real test plans for our customers in our labs, working on
Cisco's latest equipment, and learn how to flex solutions to meet our clients' required
criteria.
3. IT Software Engineers (SWE), in MELBOURNE Working
with Cisco Advanced Technologies, you will be developing new product features,
working alongside experienced engineers to define product interfaces, and
develop complex, multiple modules of code. We expect you to write portions of
product specifications by the end of your internship.

You
- are studying computer science, IT, or electrical
engineering
- have excellent communication skills, and are
- a team player
