Hi There,

We have a few different types of roles in our Design teams.

Our Technical Design & Design Appearance Quality are suited for students completing Product Design Engineering or Industrial Design. These roles are currently open to applications

We also have roles in our Visualisation team these are roles suited to Graphic Design, Multimedia, 3D animation or Digital Design students

And we also have Design roles which will open in September, which include roles in our Colour & Trim, Clay Modelling, Creative Design and Digital Sculpting. These roles will require candidates to submit a folio of work as part of their application.

I hope this helps!
Cheers,
Jody

hi Jody & Ashleigh,

I was just looking at your employer profile on the unigrad site. Says you are offering placements in Design. Could you explain the sort of design roles that Holden has on offer.

thanks

Hi Ashleigh and Jody

I'm Jeremy. I have completed electrical engineering from Rmit and Master of civil from Swinburne the end of last year. I came back from oversea for a long vacation and actively looking for an electrical job. However the most jobs I interested in require at least 1 year experience. So I can only do some none related part-time at the moment. But I am really interesting in this Holden internship. Is there any chance I can still apply for this program?

I am very dedicated to electronic and computer technologies and capable of designing electronic schematic including automation control, PLC and major programing language. I will be really glad if I am still eligible to apply this job.

cheers,

Jeremy

Hi Jeremy,

Wow! A long vacation sounds great!

The Co-operative program is an internship program for students who are partially through their undergraduate degree.

Keep an eye on our website and the Holden Student Recruitment facebook page. Later in the year we could be looking at recruiting for graduate opportunities in Engineering.

Cheers
Jody

HI Jody
Is it necessary for me to have vacation experience at all?

Hi Tina,

At Holden we don't expect candidates to have previous industry experience to be considered for our Co-operative Program. If you have worked in a casual or part time role while studying this would give you an advantage but not necessary to be considered.

I hope this answers your questions.

Cheers
Jody

Hi Everyone,

Thanks so much for your questions today.

Here in SA at our Vehicle Operations Plant we are very excited about the upcoming recruitment for the 2012 Co-Operative Students. I would encourage you all to apply for our program as it is a great opportunity for students to gain paid hands on experience in their chosen field.

Our Co-Op program not only teaches students the technical elements of their profession, but it also gives them an opportunity to learn the practical skills, such as organisation and time management, that are involved in the professional environment. As well as this the program is a great opportunity to make friends and network with broad range of professionals within many different areas of expertise.

I look forward to seeing your applications in the coming days.

Regards

Ashleigh
